Los Angeles Personal Injury Lawyer

Help with accident claims, evidence and insurance questions from our Los Angeles office.

A Los Angeles office serving injury clients

DFG LAW, APC is based at 3415 South Sepulveda Blvd, Suite 1100, Los Angeles, CA 90034. We help people evaluate personal injury claims arising in Los Angeles and elsewhere in California. Start by phone in English or Spanish, and contact us before visiting to arrange an appointment.

A useful first conversation focuses on where the incident happened, who was involved, what injuries you sustained and whether an insurer has contacted you. You do not need to know the legal name of your claim before calling.

Different incidents require different evidence

  • Car accidents: preserve scene photographs, witness details, repair records and insurance correspondence.
  • Uber and Lyft collisions: keep trip receipts and screenshots identifying the ride and its timing.
  • Falls and unsafe property: note the exact location, condition, lighting and any report made to staff.
  • Dog bites: keep available owner information, photographs and records of the incident.
  • Fatal incidents: families can ask about wrongful-death claims and preservation of evidence.

Finding the right Los Angeles collision report

The agency that investigated the crash matters. An LAPD report is requested through LAPD; a report prepared by the California Highway Patrol follows CHP’s process. An incident in Los Angeles County does not automatically mean LAPD holds the report. Check the incident card for the responding agency and report number.

Official starting points: LAPD collision-report information and CHP crash-report requests. Follow the current agency instructions and eligibility requirements. A report may help an investigation, but it does not replace review of witnesses, photographs and other evidence.

Preserve details that are easy to lose

In a parking lot, apartment building or busy intersection, an address alone may not identify the relevant location. Record the entrance, lane, direction of travel, nearby business and approximate time. Save original photos and video. Tell your lawyer promptly if you believe a nearby business or vehicle camera recorded the incident so preservation requests can be considered.

Insurance and practical next steps

Bring insurance letters and any proposed release to the consultation. We can discuss responsibility, potential sources of coverage and records needed to assess losses. Tell us if a public vehicle, road condition or government property may be involved, because special procedures and deadlines may apply.
